User Control: You own your data completely. You can export it, delete it, or take it with you at any time.
What Data We Collect
Goals and Notes (Local Only)
- What: Your signals (goals), descriptions, priority levels, completion status, and notes
- Where Stored: Exclusively on your device using iOS Core Data
- Our Access: Zero. We cannot read, access, or retrieve your goal content
- Encryption: Protected by iOS device encryption and your device passcode
- Backup: Not backed up to our servers (intentionally)
No Usage Analytics
Signal does not collect usage analytics or statistics.
What We Don't Track:
- Your specific goals or notes content
- Number of signals created or feature usage
- App crashes or performance data
- Personal identifiers or device IDs
- Location data
- User behavior or session recordings
- Contact information or device contacts
Zero Data Collection: We have chosen not to implement analytics to maintain complete privacy
Purchase Information
- What: Confirmation that you've purchased Signal Pro
- Source: Apple App Store provides purchase verification only
- Our Access: We only know "this device has a valid pro purchase" - no payment details, names, or financial information
- Apple's Role: All payment processing handled by Apple under their privacy policy
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
- Device Only: All your personal data stays on your iPhone
- iOS Protection: Data encrypted using iOS standard encryption
- No Cloud Sync: Intentionally no iCloud or remote backup of goal content
- Deletion: Uninstalling the app permanently removes all your data
No Server Storage
- No Analytics: We don't collect or store any usage analytics
- No User Data: We have no servers storing your personal information
- Purchase Verification Only: Only Apple's purchase confirmation is processed
Your Privacy Rights
Access
- Local Data: All your data is visible within the app - no hidden information
- No Analytics: We don't collect any analytics data, so there's nothing to access
Control
- Edit: Modify or delete any signal or note anytime
- Export: Use iOS share sheet to export your goals as text
- No Tracking: No analytics to opt out of - we don't track anything
Deletion
- Individual Goals: Delete specific signals within the app
- All Local Data: Uninstall the app to permanently remove all your personal data
- Purchase Records: Apple retains purchase information for your Apple ID (outside our control)
- Support Communications: Email us to request deletion of any support correspondence
- Response Time: 72 hours maximum for deletion requests
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Signal is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages:
- No Personal Data Collection: We don't collect personal information from users of any age, including children under 13
- Local Storage Only: All user data stays on the device, never transmitted to our servers
- No Registration Required: No accounts, emails, or personal information needed
- Parent-Friendly: Parents can review the app's simple functionality and complete privacy approach
